A cross between Petham Golding, daughter of the English Goldings, and an USDA select male. Released in 1985. It has become popular as a bittering hop and is sometimes used in mid kettle additions. The alpha acids content is high while the beta acids content is low compared to other high alpha acids varieties. It’s aroma strength is mild to medium-heavy, spicy, distinct piney aroma. Great for IPAs and Imperials. Alpha Acid: 12-14%
